Tower of Strength
A part in your life that has meant so much,
The first born grandchild whose life you have touched.

There is a place in my childhood that I remember well,
Full of joy and happiness and wonderful tales to tell.
A place where loving memories were painted in red,
When I was in my favorite spot, sleeping in your bed.

You've taught me all I need to know,
From cricket to swimming and playing in the snow.
Our trip to Orlando, and the rides we took,
Peeing in your wardrobe, I learnt from my own book.

You are the meaning of strength at its highest peak,
You have courage when the rest of us are weak,
You inspire me to live for now and never give up,
Because you don't know how.

You have no idea about the effect you have made,
With the lessons I've learnt, my life's made a change,
Not just a change but also a growth,
From a premature child to a young man with hope.

The memories I have made are more precious than gold,
From my wedding to my babies-whose hand you now hold.

Even though I might not say I appreciate all you do,
Richly blessed is how I feel having grandparents
“Papaji and Mota Mummy” just like you.
